My name is Jeff Flowers… obviously.
Other than that… I’m not really sure what to say about myself. If you know me or met me, then you know what I’m about. I’m pretty much your average guy. I’m a HUGE Rockets & Astros fan. I love going to see games live. I like to go to the St. Arnold Brewery on weekends. Best beer in Houston! I live a nice, quiet life. I have a dog named Harley Jane. She’s mean. She’s a Pit Bull, so obviously, she likes to bite people.
I’ve learned over the years that LIFE can be kinda crazy. It can & will throw curveballs at you. But, what matters is how you react to those curveballs. It’s the difficult times that strengthen your mind & your soul. It’s all about learning from life’s little lesson’s. It is what you do and how you rise to the occasion, that is what define’s who your character in life is. Who you are, and how strong you are.
The thing that matters the most to me in this world, is my mother. At the beginning of 2006, she suffered a major brain injury. She was life-flighted to the ICU, where they told us she would not make it through the nite. Long story short, after 9 months, 4 Hospitals and lots & lots of stress, she defied ALL odds and is now back home. Her neurosurgeon’s have classified her a Medical Miracle. It’s been an incredible journey.
My family & I have worked very hard over the last two years to get her to this point. I am her primary caregiver, and it is by-far the greatest honor I’ve ever received.
Because of these life-altering events, my persepective on life has completely changed. I truly believe that we all should do what we can to bring as much happiness & joy into this world as possible. Say hello & smile at strangers. Do a good deed everyday. Open doors for everyone. Jump into the backgrounds of peoples pictures. Have fun! Treat others, as you yourself want to be treated.
I am very active online in a few Social Bookmarking sites, such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit & Mixx. Come join me. You get to build & shape the internet in your own little way, plus it’s the best way to kill some time at work. Trust me!
However, I must confess, my true love falls into the hands of Photoshop. My geek-journey that has led me to this point, all started when I received a bootleg copy of Photoshop 5.5 my freshman year of college. While I was bored in my dorm room, I would play around with the filters and create images from multiple sources. I love the Magic Wand tool!
